A Bit About Me
Hi, I’m Deanna—an elementary educator with 11 years of classroom experience and a passion for building classrooms where students feel safe, connected, and ready to learn. I was honored as Teacher of the Year in 2020, and I currently serve on my school’s leadership team as well as a grade-level team lead.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with diverse learners and have seen firsthand how intentional classroom community can transform behavior, engagement, and academic success. The strategies I share in this course aren’t theoretical—they’re practical, realistic, and designed to work in real elementary classrooms.
Outside of teaching, I live with my husband, our two teenage boys, and our two dogs. I love learning, reading, spending time with family and friends, and being outdoors whenever possible. These parts of my life ground me and continually shape the way I approach teaching—with curiosity, balance, and heart.
I created this course to support teachers like you with tools that truly make a difference—because strong classroom community changes everything.
